bitsatmocks.com ("we", "us") is operated by Edzok Pvt Ltd, an Indian company. We respect your privacy and comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) and applicable Indian regulations.

What information we collect

To start a free BITSAT mock test, we currently collect only:

• Full name - to personalise your dashboard.
• Mobile number - for OTP verification (one-time password to sign in) and exam-day reminders.
• Graduating year - to identify which BITSAT cycle you are preparing for.
• Practice mode preference - real-exam mode or instant-feedback mode.

We do not collect: email address (currently not required), location, contact list, photo, ID documents, payment information (the service is free), or any biometric data.

How we use your data

• To provide the mock-test service and remember your progress.
• To send exam-relevant reminders (BITSAT 2026 result dates, your scheduled mock dates).
• To improve question quality and answer explanations using anonymised attempt data.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for cross-site tracking.

How we store your data

All data is stored in India (Mumbai region) on encrypted infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Access is restricted to engineering team members on a need-to-know basis, audited.

Minor users (under 18)

Per DPDP Act 2023, we treat all users under 18 as minors. By default, we do not profile minors, do not use their data for analytics or research, and do not show them personalised predictions. Verifiable parental consent is required to enable any feature that would profile a minor - and even then, the minor user can revoke consent at any time, after which data is purged within 30 days.

Your rights

Under DPDP Act 2023, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we have about you.
• Correct any inaccurate or outdated data.
• Erase your data - we will delete it within 30 days.
• Withdraw consent for any data use you previously authorised.
• File a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India if you believe your rights have been violated.

Cookies & tracking

We currently do not use any third-party tracking, advertising cookies, or analytics scripts. The site uses a single localStorage key (theme) to remember your dark/light mode preference. That's it.

If we add any analytics or tracking in the future (e.g. for cookieless analytics like Plausible), we will update this page and provide a clear notice + opt-out where applicable.

Third-party services we use

• MSG91 - for SMS OTP delivery (your mobile number is shared with MSG91 for the OTP only).
• Cloudflare - for content delivery and DDoS protection (anonymised IP-level traffic data).
• Vercel - for application hosting (operations metadata only; no personal data).

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you in-product and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance.
